We’d like to tell you about a very unusual auction.

On Tuesday, March 20^th, we’re selling the lifetime collection of signed photographs and celebrity pictures of Joseph Saveriana.

Mr. Saveriana was a decorated war veteran who ran a successful excavating business in Clifton, N.J. His hobby was collecting signed photos of world famous actors, world leaders, athletes and other celebrities. His method was to contact them and request a signed photograph, often mentioning his service and awards. Many of the signed photos are signed to Mr. Saveriana with a personal note mentioning his military service.

Some of the photos are both unusual and notable. We have signed photos of well known figures such as Enrico Caruso, Anwar Sadat, Ronald Reagan, Johnny Carson, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Edward G. Robinson, Fred Astaire, Jayne Mansfield, Jean Harlow, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and others. Bidding begins at 4 p.m. and we have a 10% buyer’s premium. Unless you have a Pennsylvania resale certificate, we must charge 6% sales tax.
