Weekly sales are back

The weather is breaking and we're loaded with great items, so it's time to return to weekly sales. We're starting on Tuesday, March 4 and continuing on the 11th, 18th and 25th.

Saturday, March 17, 2007

We’d like to tell you about a very unusual auction.

On Tuesday, March 20th, we’re selling the lifetime collection of signed photographs and celebrity pictures of Joseph Saveriana.

Mr. Saveriana was a decorated war veteran who ran a successful excavating business in Clifton, N.J. His hobby was collecting signed photos of world famous actors, world leaders, athletes and other celebrities. His method was to contact them and request a signed photograph, often mentioning his service and awards. Many of the signed photos are signed to Mr. Saveriana with a personal note mentioning his military service.

Some of the photos are both unusual and notable. We have signed photos of well known figures such as Enrico Caruso, Anwar Sadat, Ronald Reagan, Johnny Carson, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Edward G. Robinson, Fred Astaire, Jayne Mansfield, Jean Harlow, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and others. We have more than 1,000 photos so I won’t run through the full list, but please visit our photos and listings and www.teelauctions.com.

Bidding begins at 4 p.m. and we have a 10% buyer’s premium. Unless you have a Pennsylvania resale certificate, we must charge 6% sales tax.

I look forward to seeing you on March 20th for a highly unusual auction, one that will be interesting, informative and lots of fun.
